Use Cases

The purpose of this demo is to demonstrate Flex and some of my Flex skills. The application itself is just for show, and the following use cases are for completeness. (There is a production version of this app in use.)

• Add new contacts
• Edit and delete contacts in an editable grid
• Filter contacts for display, editing, selection
• Add contacts to a "blast" list
• Write a message and send email to contacts that have been added to the blast list
• See the history of old blasts, the message and other details, the recipients, and a note if any
• View a pie chart of the underlying data grouped on State, City, Zip, Org
• Drill-down or drill-across in the data by clicking on wedges in the pie chart, which redraws in more granular grouping*

*For example, after clicking on a wedge that represents California in the (U.S.) state chart, the app will drilldown to the California rows and display the city chart.
